High-energy cargo x-ray systems employ high energy x-ray source that ranges between 6 and 9 MeV, which can achieve the penetration required to inspect dense cargo. They are capable of penetrations of up to 400mm in steel as well as imaging wires of 2mm and 9mm diameter behind 100mm and behind 300mm of steel respectively. Such performance will result in the superb imaging of virtually any type of contraband likely to be encountered in practice. Various image processing functions, which are quick and easy to use, make the examination completely effective.

With a minimum amount of training, the systems can be operated by customs officers or security personnel. Following the award of the world’s largest cargo x-ray project to EG&G Middle East by the Customs of Saudi Arabia early 2003, the company has successfully reengineered legacy high-energy cargo x-ray systems to further enhance their throughput to be in excess of 50 scans per hour.

The completed project sets is the absolute pinnacle to cargo x-ray technology and is considered by far the most advanced and the most efficient to date.

Features:

- High throughput of up to 50 vehicles per hour - Steel Penetration up to 400mm @ 9 MeV - Free flow scanning provides constant vehicle flow on site - Fully automatic system designed for ease of operation
