The Mobile Cargo / Truck X-Ray System is a self-contained mobile x-ray system designed to scan cars, vans, buses, trucks and sea containers. It obtains images in a single pass as it is driven past the scanned target. It consists of a truck containing the imaging equipment mounted with a boom, which contains the detectors and electronics. The truck has the driver, operator or image-analyst and an optional traffic coordinator.
The mobile system can be used at strategic and randomly placed control points situated on the road network as part of a national security program or at seaports and border crossings. Using this system, a trained customs or security services operator can examine selected stationary targets to detect illegal immigrants, explosives, drugs, fraudulently manifested goods or any other forms of contraband. The Mobile Cargo X-Ray system sets the world’s standards in performance, versatility, efficiency and reliability.
EG&G distributes Smiths Heimen and L3 Communication Mobile X-ray systems for the region with full technical support. The Mobile X-ray systems have the ability to be driven independently from location to location and ready to use in under 15 minutes, adapting to the customer’s specific needs.
The Heimann CargoVision® Mobile (HCV-Mobile) proposed by Smiths Detection is a fully mobile scanning system designed for the control, by interlaced high energy (approximately 6 MeV / 4 MeV) x-ray imaging, of containers, trucks and other commercial vehicles also capable to discriminate organic and inorganic materials. It enables to scan in one scan the vehicle and container (from 0.5m/4.95m
and from 0,13m/0,28m to 4,60m/4,75m) – 4,65m/4,80m clearance - including “high cubes” containers loaded on standard trailers.
Features:
- High throughput of Up to 25 vehicles (18m long)/ hour
- Ultimate penetration : Minimum 320 mm of steel
- Ability to be relocated
- Different scanning speeds and scanning heights
- OCR Plate and container ID recognition
- Automatic Radioactive material Detection
