Re-locatable cargo / truck x-ray systems are specially formulated and designed to examine containers, trucks, buses, vans and passenger cars to reveal hidden compartments, explosives, weapons, drugs, illegal immigrants and any other forms of contraband. These systems produce excellent crisp x-ray images and are substantially economical to own and operate. Main features of re-locatable gantry cargo x-ray systems include their small area requirement and their ability to be re-located with minimum effort. They can be located in seaports, border crossings, entrances to controlled security areas or where a client requires a system to fit into a constrained site in a semi-permanent location.
Manufactured by EG&G Middle East, re-locatable cargo x-ray system (Gantry) are designed to give maximum operating availability, high quality imaging and throughput while maintaining the lowest overall cost in terms of manpower and cost per scan. The Gantry systems use a range of accelerators from 3.5MeV to 6MeV, allowing steel penetration ranging from 280mm to 400mm while providing a high throughput of up to 23 trucks per hour.
The modular design of the Gantry systems provides the ability for the system to be relocated, adapting the customer’s specific needs. The 6MeV systems use Mi6 accelerators which emit both high and low energy, this is used for materials discrimination.
